Towards the exact solutions of (super)membrane models

Abstract:

We discuss:
a) new solutions related to the problem of U(1) invariant membranes in 4+1 Minkowski space
b) recent result concerning the construction of the ground state (around the origin) of the supermembrane matrix model.
